| Weekend |
| 06.15.04 (6:48 am) [edit] |

Well you all know about the wedding on Saturday, now I'll tell you of my Sunday. I convinced my husband to call in sick to work. We spent the day at my mother's along with her boyfriend, my brother and his fiance. We played horseshoes, had some drinks and played baseball with the kids. My mom bought James a bat and ball and taught him to play. He's a natural. He started hitting most of the pitches right away! :) All in all it was a good day. I can't wait to do it again.

| When is yours? |
| 06.12.04 (4:11 pm) [edit] |
|
Well with My 5 year anniversary being last Saturday and My brother-in-law's wedding being today I started thinking about how many marriages really last forever. I was wondering how many of you out there in the blogging world are married and for how long. If not are you engaged? when will you be getting married?

| Wedding Bliss |
| 06.12.04 (3:18 pm) [edit] |
|
My brother-in-law Mario got married today. The ceremony was beautiful. They did an outdoor wedding and reception at the bride's mother's house. It was a birdhouse theme which I thought was adorable. They put fancy birdhouses as the centerpieces and sachet bags of birdseed as favors. Morgan looked very nice and the flower girls were gorgeous. The Maid of honor was my 9 year old niece, Kristen. Flower girl, bride's 5 year old daughter, Maclayne. Best man, Bride's 9 year old son, Lucas. Ring bearer, my 5 year old nephew, Matthew. As of today I have a new niece and nephew. I am thrilled to see Morgan and Mario so happy. They deserve all the best.

| Graduation! |
| 06.12.04 (8:42 am) [edit] |
|
James graduated pre-kindergarden yesterday! The ceremony was adorable. They made them little caps and they sang songs for us and then they had a clown and refreshments. Then we went to Larry's Clam Bar for lunch. After lunch we came back home and spent the day partying with family, friends and neighbors. James loved his cards and gifts. Thanks again to all who came. It was a great day and I think James will treasure it in his heart.

| Brain switch |
| 06.10.04 (4:49 am) [edit] |
|
I need a shut off switch on my brain! I go to bed at night and the minute my head hits the pillow my brain explodes with ideas, and lists beyond my control. I think of what I have to do tomorrow, what I didn't get done today, "OH SHIT, I forgot about..." Bills to pay, and every other such list goes 100 MPH through my brain. This goes on for hours before I can fall asleep. I'm tired. I am VERY tired. But I can't sleep. somebody please tell me the secret behind a good night sleep?

| Does it get any better? |
| 06.08.04 (6:18 pm) [edit] |
Well, the stomach thing I had going on yesterday...Yeah, well my husband came down with it today. Though I am not happy he is sick, I am happy that he understands how I felt yesterday. See, he was kinda grumpy, snappy, and downright mean to me when I wasn't feeling well. He apologized today, once he knew how bad I'd felt. On the brighter side of things, we celebrated my Papa's 69th birthday today! :D He seemed very happy to have all of us there. My cousin Kristen flew in from Las Vegas for a visit. She'll be here a couple weeks as I hear it. My cousin Amy lost more weight. I am so happy for her. She looks amazing! I swear she's smaller than me now. :? And I guess she's got a really nice new boyfriend. He sent her a dozen roses at work today with an amazing note. "A friend is good to have, but a lover's kiss is like angels raining down on me....-John". Isn't that sweet? I thought it was beautiful. I gave her and Melanie both gift certificates for two months unlimited tanning. I think they liked them. It was an early bday gift for Amy and a belated one for Mel. So I hope they enjoy them. Anyhoo, I'm off to bed. Later!

| A little better |
| 06.08.04 (9:32 am) [edit] |
|
I'm feeling a little better today. The sun is shining and OMG is it warm out! Kinda pisses me off that I couldn't have weather like this while we were at the beach in Maine. Oy! So hopefully we will find something fun to do tomorrow. They are forcasting 90's for us tomorrow. Hmm maybe Hampton beach, or Water Country. We'll see.

| Vacation Blues |
| 06.07.04 (1:41 pm) [edit] |
My husband started his vacation on Saturday. We left early to head for Maine. We were planning on spending a few days at my Nana's beach house. Well that was very unsuccessful. The weather sucked, my Nana was sick and worse..I think I caught it. We came home early. Friday, James graduates preschool and Saturday, Carl's brother is getting married so I hope I feel better by then. Oh yeah, My anniversary was Saturday. 5 Years married. Seems like a big accomplishment these days. Many marriages don't even last one year. Any how, I'm gonna go lie down.

| Painting the carpet |
| 06.03.04 (9:45 am) [edit] |
|
Picture this if you will...An entire gallon of grey primer spilled on an off white carpet. Yup, My Blake decided to paint the carpet. I wanted to scream! :x But Wendy came back with the wet vac and we managed to clean the carpet. Luckily. The room is almost done now. The bed only needs one more coat of paint, then we start sewing the second bed tent. I can't wait for this to be done. Good thing is it will be done by the time James graduates preschool next week. With close family and a couple friends coming to the house for a small party, I'm glad things will be done and put back together. I'll update later. Bye! :)

| Really coming together |
| 06.02.04 (1:54 pm) [edit] |
|
The kids room is already starting to come together. The only thing left to paint is the bed. The dresser came out awesome. It's black with bright red, yellow, Green, and Blue drawers. The whole room is being done in those colors and Nascar is the theme of the fabric. It looks amazing. I can't wait for it to be done. I'm so sick of painting! :D

| Trading Spaces |
| 06.01.04 (5:45 pm) [edit] |
|
I feel like I've been living my own trading spaces episode. My Brother's fiance, Wendy, has designed a makeover for my kids' bedroom. She is redoing their bedroom as a joint birthday gift for the both of them. She is painting their furniture, sewing tents for their beds, and lots of other cool stuff. She started this morning and with my help we have painted almost half the furniture already. I guess this wouldn't be trading spaces though...I've seen the room and we won't be done in two days. I am just anxious for it to be done. I can't wait to see the final product.

| First time |
| 05.31.04 (8:54 am) [edit] |
|
Carl and I brought the kids camping for the first time this weekend. My brother, his fiance, My dad, and his new wife invited us. The kids were so funny. James was going nuts finding caterpillars and Blake was his little accomplice. I gave them each a jar with holes punched in the top and they found tons of caterpillars. James and Blake both did some fishing off shore. My Brother brought James out in the canoe a few times. Wendy was making the boys smores. My dad and Linda sat around the fire most of the time just enjoying the kids. A good time was had by all. Hope to do that again real soon. :D

| Good Day! |
| 05.29.04 (3:40 pm) [edit] |
I had a pretty damn good day for a change. I brought the kids yard saling almost all day. We got some good deals on toys they never would have gotten otherwise. Best deals were all the FREE items we were getting around 2:00 when all the sales were winding down. I got a little tikes cozy coupe with a handle to push Blake around in, when he isn't in the stroller. It's so cute and he loves it. The best part...It was FREE. I swear my kids would be so deprived if it weren't for yard sales. Blake had a pretty good day as well. He isn't quite as sore. He had a ball getting to go out with me today. James turned out to be quite the bargain seeker. He learned very quickly how to talk the price down on any toy he wanted for himself. He's so smart. Our good friend Dan is supposed to stop by tonight to have a few drinks and shoot a few games of darts. It's always a good time when he's around, so I am looking forward to that. :D

| How? |
| 05.28.04 (5:21 am) [edit] |
|
Please tell me how to explain to a two-year-old that he needs to rest? Blake had his surgery Monday, as most of you know. He wants to run and play. He tries to do these things and ends up hurting. He doesn't understand why he can't do the things he could last week. I try to tell him it will be better soon but he's so upset that he can't do them now. It's breaking my heart to watch this kid. He is so determined to do everything and he ends up screaming in pain afterwards. Please someone help me to make him understand. Is there a way?

| Finally |
| 05.28.04 (5:07 am) [edit] |
I finally got to see the [i]Lord of the rings: Return of the King[/i]. It was awesome. I've been waiting forever for it to come out on DVD. My mom and Dave came over and we watched it together. It was nice. We decided we want to take an entire day and watch the trilogy one movie right after the other. Kinda like a [i]Lord of the Rings [/i]marathon. That should be fun. Oh and I took the [i]Which hobbit is your soulmate?[/i] test. My Hobbit soulmate is Pippin.

| Ouch! |
| 05.27.04 (4:57 am) [edit] |
Blake had a wonderful day yesterday. He only took two doses of the tylenol with codiene. He was happy and smiling. He even played around the house some. I was so proud of how brave he was being. This morning is the complete opposite. The bandaging came off this morning and he is not handling that well at all. I gave him a dose of the codiene but it hasn't kicked in yet. It breaks my heart to see my child in so much pain and knowing I can't take it away. I can't fix it for him. If I never have to watch one of my children go through surgery again...it will be too soon.

| First night |
| 05.25.04 (12:09 pm) [edit] |
|
The first night after Blake's surgery went better than expected but not as good as we had hoped. He woke up a few times very sore and very upset. I would give him a new dose of the tylenol with codiene and calm him back to sleep. I slept by his side all night. Today is a whole new day. He is doing wonderful. He is walking around a little, that is, until he gets sore and lays back down. He is much more alert since the anestesia wore off. He is even smiling. He has his sense of humor. Every time someone comes to visit him, he asks where his card is. He seems to know everyone is bringing him one, so now he expects them. It's so cute. A lot of freinds and family have come to see him and we are very thankful. Hopefully things will just keep getting better.

| Thanks |
| 05.24.04 (9:59 am) [edit] |
|
I want to say thank you to all of you who have had Blake in your thoughts and prayers lately. I am pleased to say that the surgery was a huge success. Once they did the circimcision, things weren't as bad as they suspected. Blake came out of the anestesia well and for the time being is pretty content. He'll be back to his hyper self in no time.
